The five things that set your price

Five things set the price of a porta potty rental. They are unit type, number of units, billing type, distance zone, and timing. A deluxe unit costs $120 more than a standard one. Same-day delivery adds $95. Sales tax of 6% is the only other line.

  1. Unit type. Standard is $175, ADA is $235, and deluxe flushing is $295 per event.
  2. Number of units. Each extra standard unit drops to $135.
  3. Billing type. Events pay one flat price. Job sites and long stays pay every 28 days.
  4. Distance zone. Towns 26 to 50 miles out add $45, and 51 to 80 miles add $85.
  5. Timing and extra service. Same-day rush is $95. An unscheduled service visit is $65.

Event billing vs. 28-day billing

Event billing is one flat price with no daily or hourly charge. The unit drops off up to 1 business day before and leaves the next business day after. 28-day billing is for job sites and long stays. A standard unit costs $165 per cycle with weekly service.

Why a Saturday event runs Friday to Monday

Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, and Sunday is by arrangement. Dropping off Friday puts the unit in place before guests arrive. Monday pickup costs nothing extra.

A short job of 3 days to 4 weeks pays one 28-day cycle. More on the monthly porta potty rental page.

  • No winter fee; antifreeze is included from November to March.

Ways to lower your porta potty cost

The easiest way to lower porta potty cost is to order at least 1 day ahead. That skips the $95 same-day fee. Each extra standard unit costs $135 instead of $175. Placing units on private property avoids an ACHD street permit in Ada County. Size the order with the guest chart.

  • Book ahead so you never need the rush fee.
  • Order all units at once to get the $135 additional-unit price.
  • Use standard units plus 1 ADA unit instead of all deluxe units.
  • Pick a spot the truck can reach within 30 feet, on a driveway or yard.
  • On a monthly rental, ask for pickup the day the job ends.
  • For a weekend gathering, choose event billing over a 28-day cycle.

Real questions, straight answers

Questions renters ask about this

Is it the same price for a day or a week?

A one-day event and a weekend event cost the same flat $175 for a standard unit. There is no daily charge. A unit that stays a full week or longer bills as one 28-day cycle. That is $165 plus a one-time $75 delivery in Zone 1, with weekly service.

Do I have to pay for it through Monday?

Monday costs nothing extra. Event pricing covers drop-off up to 1 business day before and pickup the next business day after. A Saturday party with Friday delivery and Monday pickup is still the flat $175 for one standard unit.

Why is a one-day rental billed Friday to Monday?

Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, so a Friday drop-off puts the unit in place before guests arrive. The truck returns Monday, the next business day. The price is for the event, not the days, so the extra days are free.

So $175, and there's nothing else?

In Zone 1, a standard event unit is $175 plus 6% Idaho sales tax, which totals $185.50. Delivery and pickup are included. Only three things add to it. Those are a zone fee past 25 miles, a $95 same-day fee, or extra service.

Is the delivery fee for delivery and pickup, or just the delivery?

Every delivery fee covers both trips, drop-off and pickup. Event rentals in Zone 1 include both at no charge. Monthly rentals pay a one-time $75 for both trips in Zone 1. Zone 2 adds $45, and Zone 3 adds $85.

Would I have to pay something down now?

There is no deposit. Your card is charged when you book. Event cancellations are free up to 24 hours before delivery. Inside 24 hours, only the delivery fee is kept and the rest is refunded.

How much would it be with taxes?

Add 6% Idaho sales tax to the rental. One standard event unit is $185.50 with tax. Two standard units are $328.60, and an ADA unit is $249.10. Your quote shows the tax as its own line.

Do you have anything under $200?

A standard event unit in Zone 1 is $175, or $185.50 with tax, with delivery and pickup included. A two-sink hand-wash station alone is $125. Monthly standard units are $165 per 28 days, plus a one-time $75 delivery.
